Pump Assist app for iPhone and iPad

Pump Assist assists in the daily management of Infusion Sites, Insulin Cartridge refills, CGMS sites and other aspects involved in living with an Insulin Pump for those with Type 1 Diabetes.

When an Infusion set is changed a period between 2 to 8 days can be chosen for the expected life of that site, when the time expires an alarm will sound as well as a pop up notification to inform that a site change is due. In the intervening period a display of day since the site change and a countdown to the change will be displayed. This helps in preventing a site being left in too long with a subsequent risk of infection.

The CGMS aspect simply allows the resetting of the date to when the new sensor is installed, the days are then counted up from that period permitting the user to see how long the site has been operational.

Pump cartridges are recommended as single use items only and thus meant to be discarded when empty after the first fill. For various reasons many pump users elect to refill cartridges more than once. This app allows the setting of the number of fills the cartridge has been subjected to and help prevent possible issues resulting from forgetfullness.

Two extra indicators have been provided to show when the pump battery was changed last and the last time a lancet was changed.
